Get ready, fashion photographer's lovers!
Helmut Newton Exhibition is in town!
Until June 17th, the German photographer exhibition "La bande annonce" will be shown at the Grand Palais.
Best known for his work at french Vogue, he was extravagant, sometimes shocking. Newton's work has sought to restore the beauty, eroticism, humor and sometimes violence which his sensitivity allowed him to reveal from the social world he frequented, surrounded by fashion, luxury, money and power.
The exhibition features over two hundred images, almost exclusively of original prints or "vintage" made under the supervision of Helmut Newton. Polaroids, working prints of various sizes, monumental works are among the presented pieces. The exhibition also presents an extract of the film by June Newton (photographer's wife for sixty years): Helmut by June.
